Meredith College junior Allie Gallagher led the Avenging Angels to a second place finish in the St. Andrew's Cross Country Invitational Friday evening. Columbia College claimed first with 36 points and Meredith followed in a close second with 38.

For the first time in program history, Meredith College reached the top-10 in the U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional poll as announced Wednesday. The Avenging Angels ranked ninth in the South/Southeast Region.
