The Western Carolina men’s and women’s track & field teams opened up their 2015-16 indoor season Friday night at the Appalachian Open in Boone, N.C. Four events were contested Friday night with the Catamounts finishing first in two. Senior Jared Johnson of the men’s team took the weight throw while junior Tiffani Lewis on the women’s side took the triple jump crown.
