Senior Tayla Carter completed her outstanding Western Carolina track & field career Thursday evening at the 2016 NCAA East Preliminary in Jacksonville, Fla. Carter qualified for the NCAAs all four years of her collegiate career and was undefeated at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships in both the 100m and 200m. She entered Thursday’s event as the 30th ranked sprinter in the 100m distance in the East region which encompasses all schools east of the Mississippi River.
