[Women's Cross Country] Cross Country teams place 6th at UNCWPublished by
Wilmington, NC- The St. Andrews University cross country teams both finished in 6th place in the team standings in the Adidas Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington on Friday evening. On the women's side, sophomore Kaitlyn Stempien again led the Lady Knights with her 13th place finish in the Division 2 and 3 Invite with a time of 21:32 while freshman Morgan Tedder came next in 34th place with a time of 22:49. Freshman Kara Thornton finished next in 38th in 23:01 while fellow freshman Ashley Barrera followed them up right behind in 42nd at 23:14. Senior Rebecca Yuswak came in 5th on the team and 51st overall at 25:19 while sophomore Emily Scott came in 68th at 27:14. The Lady Knights ended up finishing 6th out of 8 teams with 166 points, just 3 points ahead of 7th place Guilford. UNC-Pembroke won the invite followed by Barton, Pfeiffer, Meredith, and NC State's Club. The Knight runners will next compete in the Wingate Bulldog Stampede at Wingate College on September 21st.
