Wilmington, NC- The St. Andrews University cross country teams both finished in 6^th place in the team standings in the Adidas Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington on Friday evening.

The men were led by freshman Danzel Jefferson's 10^th place overall finish as he crossed the line in 17:05 while junior Tyler Beaver and freshman Justin Brown came in back-to-back in 27^th and 28^th place. Beaver posted a time of 18:17 while Brown came in at 18:26.

Next up to finish for the Knights was sophomore Cannon Heath as he came in 40^th place with a time of 18:55 just ahead of freshman Chase Kopp who finished in 44^th at 19:15. Freshman Michael Hare was next in 56^th place finishing with a time of 21:09.

The Knights finished with 137 points to place 6^th out of 7 teams with UNC-Pembroke winning the Division 2 and 3 Invite. Guilford College (NC) came in 2^nd while NC State's club team was third followed by Pfeiffer (NC), Barton (NC) and Shaw (NC).

The Knight runners will next compete in the Wingate Bulldog Stampede at Wingate College on September 21^st.
